This past weekend, I catered a women's event for ROSE TORONTO. When discussing menu options, I automatically thought, "What can be more feminine than a tea time at a luxurious nail salon?" My obsession with London, England's 'high tea' in the afternoon began years ago. Ever since I tried it, I began tasting the different varieties at every hotel/restaurant in the UK, picking up bits & pieces to add to my own versions of tea time. My high tea inspired menu had a mix of classic & fusion sandwiches (with my own twists of course), homemade mini raisin scones, which I would love to serve with clotted cream (a rich & creamy delicacy) as they do for traditional British tea but unfortunately, it is impossible to find here so I found a great substitute in mascarpone cheese which is thick & creamy, a great compliment to sweet strawberry jam & an epic cheese & charcuterie board.

My goat cheese & oven-dried tomatoes were one of the faves. To learn how to make my oven-dried tomatoes, a burst of flavour on any pizza, click HERE.

I got the pleasure to work with a few creative women who have turned their passions into small businesses:

@theblankplate: I started THE BLANK PLATE years ago, turning my self-taught passion into a small business of private catering.

@rosetoronto_: a charming woman turned entrepreneur specializing in organic dry face oils that don't clog pores & can even help balance acne prone skin; she started experimenting with her business after a toxic relationship turning her negative into a positive.

@thachampagneboutique: Monique hosted the event at her luxurious nail bar where women can indulge in soaking their feet in champagne & rose petal filled basins. She is currently working on her second location.

@sohosweetcarts: Jessie is amazing at creating customized carts for any occasion so when I asked her for a pinstripe cart to display my selection of sandwiches, she was delighted. The beauty of the cart is to promote socializing while eating so guests can serve themselves; this way a host is not stuck in a kitchen & guests are not restricted to sitting at one table.

@thesweetmyx: a baking connoisseur creating alcohol-infused cupcakes. For this occasion we had raspberry-prosecco cupcakes with a delicious frosting & I can't wait to try their tiramisu-kahlua.

We sipped some bubbly, nibbled on my finger foods & had amazing conversations all while ROSE TORONTO did beauty oil demonstrations & THE CHAMPAGNE BOUTIQUE hosted us all. A great event; thank you to everyone who came & supported our group of strong, inspiring women.

XO

Of all the sites, only this one with a lot of positive commatories smart new online casino The first two weeks I had no luck, I tried everything and the slots and gaming atoms, but after that I was in pleasant surprise and you know that now I’m doing my most favorite thing
