Underwear is now outerwear. This past year, we saw fashion trend setters & celebs wearing the intimates from their drawers in the streets. This boudoir dressing is pulling off slip dresses with heels, lacy bras under jackets or silky pajama pants & robes to dinner soirees. Dries Van Noten even did an array of bras over t-shirts & tops to make a serious fashion statement. Negligee worn outside had a major moment in 90's fashion & it is making a comeback.

I reinvented the idea of the little black dress with my slip dress from the H&M loungewear collection. It's slinky & sexy. You don't need to wear undergarments because it hugs every inch of your body; just wear confidence.

If you're not bold enough to wear a slip dress alone, pair it with a simple white tee & sneakers or turtleneck & loafers to dress down the silk or body hugging garment.

I played up the boring black with a pop of orange in my whole look with my 30 cm Hermes Birkin, a baggy-boyish long bomber jacket with orange lining & my nude Louboutin SoKates.

Wearing coats has evolved into an art form with the one shoulder slump. Drop your jacket off one shoulder for a relaxed & effortless look. This gives you the street style vibe.

Slip dresses are so versatile, I can spend a night out & crawl right into my bed!

THE BLACK SWAN

The 'Black Swan trend' became vastly popular after Natalie Portman's provoking performance & since then, we have been seeing this dark elegance in fashion trends, on the runway & even as a snapchat filter.

The swan symbolizes grace & beauty.

I was chasing perfectionism with this look of the dramatic black fur contrasting with my soft pinkish nude makeup, graceful meets gothic, & my sleek ballet-esque bun.

Could fur & faux fur be the hottest trend right now? FUR-real? As bold black fur is dominating the runways FUR-ociously, in-FUR-iating the long lasting debate, whether it's faux or not so faux fur, the only thing I FUR-got in my look is those fuzzy wonder shoes Carrie Bradshaw didn't do justice when throwing them at Berger to spice up their sex life.

No one did the fur coat justice like Carrie but nowadays, the fur trend is not just for 'ladies who lunch' & you don't just break out your mink to attend the opera. Fur has been toned down all the way & the way to rock it is with torn jeans, tees, sneakers, & huge designer frames.

Fur is not just your grandma's pelts anymore, although vintage fur will forever remain a classic, we are now seeing strong colour statements in fur & faux fur from black iris, charcoal grey, royal blue, & even emerald green.

My HUDSON BAY mink coat is that almost black dark brown fur adding a richness to the fur silhouette. I paired it with a MARIKA BROSE fluffy mink tube dress & I wanted to give the outfit some edge with my Schutz 'naked' boots to lighten the entire look.

A woman's silhouette & vertical lines are a match made in heaven. They create a slimming effect that any woman can appreciate. 

The evolution of the "naked" outfit is upon us. A hint of skin creates sheer allure in translucent fabrics. The tricky part is finding something to wear underneath.

This Carte Blanche jumpsuit has eye catching details of sheer panelling & built-in shorts to show the perfect amount of skin. This bell bottom jumpsuit with vertical lines is so on trend. My raccoon fur coat with a calfskin leather finish is from Froccella, which I picked up in Amsterdam years ago. When you wear a delicate outfit with bare or sheer legs, you always want to wear a heavier or full length coat. My Christian Louboutin 'Bis Un Bout' pumps went well in keeping with the naked look. Hints of suede in my shoes & Celine flap bag pulled off this wintery-fashionable look.

As summer fades, many of our stilettos either collect dust or go into storage. Transitioning a stiletto into fall can be as simple as a stiletto-and-sock combination. Sheer socks portray a professional yet chic look on the foot. Here I am wearing my classic suede SoKate Louboutins, sheer socks, my black suede Celine bag with metal chain strap & metal chain link bracelet.

I wanted to show the cross between seasons so I paired my leather shorts with a black turtleneck & leather snapback. Don't be afraid to push into new trends & avant garde ideas of advancing your wardrobe with mix & match items for any season.
