What is it about leather that screams sexy? This fabric demands attention the way it hugs a woman's curves. Leather has been appearing on every trend this season. Maybe it is the craze of 50 Shades of Grey giving everything a touch of bondage & discipline. Aside from the usual shoes & bags, we are seeing leather peplum shirts, full length dresses & body hugging bodysuits.

My polished pencil skirt & leather shirt give me a sophisticated yet intimidating silhouette. I decided to go all leather with my Charlotte Olympia boots & Celine trapeze. With my Dolce & Gabanna dark frames, I'm feeling like a total dominatrix & submissive to the leather trend.

Olive is the new neutral in fall trends. It's showing up on every runway with military & utilitarian accents.

Army green is an interesting tone & goes well with nudes. I paired my caged nude thigh high boots with a simple dress. The soft rouching and asymmetrical cut adds detail without making too much of a statement and distracting from the eye-catching boots. I often argue with my sister about the shade of this calfskin Chanel bag. I say it's brown, she calls it green. I don't know who is color blind! :P

But it almost looks like a brownish-green. I have a feeling this olive inspired shade is here to stay.

BACK IN BLACK

Black is often seen as boring and basic but not this fall. An all black look is clean and chic for this season and bonus, doesn't require worrying about being clumsy!

I wanted to keep this outfit as simple as possible so the caged thigh high boots from Carte Blanche can steal all of the attention. The knot dress from Chriss Zoe creates an optical illusion of a slimmer silhouette and just adds an interesting detail on this simple dress. I paired the 2 pieces with a simple Celine trapeze and Dolce & Gabanna shades.
