TROUSERS: TAIBO BACAR | SHIRT: DOLCE & GABBANA | SHADES: DOLCE & GABBANA | HEELS: AZZEDINE ALAIA | BAG: CHRISTIAN DIOR

50 shades of beige are always in; khaki, tan, toffee, camel & any shade in between.

Camel is often the colour of classic structured trench coats that serve as a versatile piece in every wardrobe so when I came across these TAIBO BACAR camel trousers in Johannesburg, South Africa, I thought why not try! Originally I bought these polished hue trousers for an Elephant Safari but this neutral classic pair of pants can be transitioned into any look.

The rule of fashion is to wear camel colours with cold tones such as whites, off whites, blues & green. If your camel garment is a heavy fabric such as trousers, keep the accent piece light. I paired by camel with a Dolce & Gabbana men's shirt turned into a one strap chic woman's top. The light airiness of the crisp white shirt is the perfect contrast to my heavy deep caramel coloured pants. My Alaia sandals & Dolce & Gabbana floral shades also lightened up this look to transform these fall pants into spring.

With this giant castle-like door, I felt like I was in the queen of CAMEL-LOT.

THANKS SEW MUCH DAD!

Fashionable women everywhere are tossing out their restraining corsets for oversized jackets.

This started way before Coco Chanel rebel-lionized by dropping the lioness & dismissing the feminine touches introducing the world to menswear inspired suits, blazers & trousers in tweed; a fabric once associated only with menswear. It was heavy, rugged, coarse & structured not light, airy, delicate & flowy like women's wear was expected to be.

Audrey Hepburn ditched the corset & turned towards androgynous garments & bow ties, the smoking tuxedo jacket wasn't just for men anymore according to Yves Saint Laurent & now, in 2018, genders have crossed boundaries & wearing men's wear is not only fashion forward but also cost effective since women's wear has the pink tax.

Suits are to women what lingerie is to men. Who doesn't look to see a man in a fitted tailored suit?
Lately, I've been obsessed with Lucifer where the 'Dapper Devil' parades around in designers such as Hugo Boss, Burberry, Ted Baker, Canali & SEW it goes.

While watching season 3, episode 8 'Chloe Does Lucifer', I saw Lucifer wearing his typical three-piece suit in a brown/burgundy shade & Chloe wearing a tailored suit when she is playing a seductress so it gave me the idea to follow Lucifer's footsteps with his suits, Louboutins & guyliner. I asked my mom to find me something similar in my dad's wardrobe. All girls steal their mom's clothes so why not dad's?

She found a three-piece brownish woven wool suit with a silk back vest & adjustable strap. It was oversized with broad shoulders, perfect for my masculine look. Of course I kept a few feminine touches; I didn't all the way ditch the corset. I wore a black corset bodysuit to give me some great cleavage, I put a tight bow in my leather belt tightened around my vest to create some womanly shape, the jacket on my shoulders, leather tights (when you wear oversized, the accent garment should be fitted) & nude SoKate Louboutin pumps.

Don't be a button-hole, save your dad's button down blazers! We all needle little jacket help sometimes.

BOMBER & DUFFEL: TOMMY HILFIGER | BODYSUIT: VICTORIA'S SECRET | TROUSERS: ZARA | SHOES: CHRISTIAN LOUBOUTIN

Tom-boyish looks are taking over just as it has become a trend to wear men's oversized clothing. Gigi Hadid's Tommy Hilfiger SS17 collabo put the classic designer on the forefront of fashion this year.

Any time you are doing a unisex, tom-boyish look, you want to add a touch of femininity. I paired my olive Tommy Hilfiger tailored bomber jacket with navy lining with my navy blue lace lingerie from Victoria's Secret, dark navy Zara silk trousers, Louboutin lingerie lace shoes, & Tommy Hilfiger mini travel duffle. Wearing your undergarments on the outside is also a fast forming trend that I am getting accustomed to.

Silky bombers never go out of style & the iconic military & labour piece adaptions are evolving. Bombers are a lightweight, versatile staple in the utilitarian wardrobe. Varsity logos & patches give jackets some uniqueness & layering a masculine bomber gives a trimmer appearance for the flattening wide shoulder touch a men's jacket brings.

Oversized jackets & wide leg pants together can ultimately go wrong but the extremely naked undergarment slims down the entire look to let my inner tom boy shine through with some injected delicate features.

Olive green represents the U.S army field uniforms & navy blue, the British Royal Navy. Someone hand me a dirty martini, 3 parts vodka, 1 part dry vermouth, lemon peel & extra olives to suit my sea of hues.

CAMO PARKA: GHOST LABEL | SUEDE BOMBER: UNKNOWN | TOP: VINTAGE | SKIRT: RIVER ISLAND | BOOTIES: SIMMI SHOES | SUNGLASSES: RAY BAN

Camo made a hot comeback this year in bold camouflage threads showcasing different colours, straying away from the traditional green on green, green on brown print all over the runways. Kylie just added camo caps to her online shop, selling camo everything from sweatpants to bikinis & even lighters. The print is officially back.

The ultimate key to the camouflage print is to keep it minimal & wear it in moderation. Choose one army printed piece & layer it to give it that utilitarian edge. Feminine accessories give camo a touch of fragility from the strengthening power this fabric brings representing clever protection in military tactical history. Transformed to fashion today, this look is far from blending in & stand out pieces of army print are in.

Camo print is part of the military trend & it is officially a fashion-must-have after Lutz Huelle 2017 Spring Ready-To-Wear showcased a range of colour lined camo print jackets.

The interest in menswear is at an all time high for trendy women everywhere with 'oversize' infiltrating all jackets. I chose to pair my oversized water-repellent, wind-resistant camouflage Ghost Label ASSASSIN Parka with a vintage buckle turtle-tank with cut outs & nickel grommet features that compliment the grommets on my Simmi Booties, a suede fern green bomber, & my River Island khaki snakeskin split-front pencil skirt. The tailored skirt adds that feminine edge I was talking about. Altuzurra 2017 RTW made the snake skin/python fabric a must-have this season, pairing the textured fabric with different prints as I have done here. Where did I find this military base to shoot; well that's my best kept secret, let's just say I had to camouflage with my backdrop to get in!

The unique colours of this red & green army makes it a killer statement outerwear piece for that tom-boyish trend.

"This bold red infusion into the classical camo print conjures up images of a victor coming back from war covered in the blood of his enemies." Ghost Label

This look is trends on trends on trends. Mesh socks with military ankle booties, layering a bomber jacket with a hoodie, animal prints, unique cut-outs, & camouflage.
