Pearls are a girl's best friend. Who didn't put on their mother's pearl necklace when playing dress up as a child? Now that I'm all grown up, I have a few of my own. 

This ladylike look can be achieved with pearl accents such as a layered necklace or bracelet. 

I found this amazing River Island skirt dripping in pearls of different sizes. With such a busy piece, always choose a simple top. I threw on a River Island basic tank so my necklace would be the main accent. 

Keeping it a simple & neutral colour palette can leave room for a bold nail & lip colour. A classic red could also be a substitution.
