GLITTERALLY!

Ultimate party girls know that you should never throw away your sequin dresses because they always make a comeback. British Vogue stated "sparkles & sequins are officially back" after Oscar De La Renta's  eye-popping deep pink sequin dress, Marc Jacobs full length teal sequin gown, Halpern's colourful sequin glam pieces, & Tom Ford's metallic silver panties at NYFW. Gucci has been adding sequin bombers to their line & I even spotted a silver sequin blazer dress at Zara recently.

This KANN BUTIQ B&W sequin dress is so sexy with brazen thigh cuts & a deep neck. The tribal/aztec print adds another factor to this dress, making it an eye-popping ensemble. The print reminds me of the Chinle pattern in the oldest old school palette of yin & yang.

African inspired textiles are making their way into fashion so when you have a busy print plus sequins plus unique cuts on a dress, choose bare accessories for a carefree-laid back look to tone down the shine. I chose to wear no jewelry, nude lips, transparent Louboutin pumps, simple black Celine shades, a mini metal clutch & my saffron nails offer a pop of colour in contrast to the B&W tones. I'm gliterally glowing in this!

For women, dresses are staples in our wardrobe & every woman wants simplicity when deciding on an outfit. YERE COLLECTION by Chinyere Christy has an array of classic cut dresses with intricate accents.

The simplicity of the solid black & white hues in the HERMOSA COLLECTION, hemlines just above the knee, draped fabric, & sexy slits give these dresses the versatility to be worn in different ways & extend your 'dress shelf life'. You can wear these pieces on a night on the town or pair them with a leather jacket & booties for dinner.

HERMOSA in Spanish means "beautiful" & the name seemed fitting for a California based brand. Each dress name in the collection means beautiful in different languages to show the inspiration behind the trendy designs.

In the pictures above, I paired my:

WUBA black back cross mini with the side slit with cut-out, thigh high boots.
MARA MMA black draped cut-out dress with my criss-cross buckle Louboutins.
AMAHLE white mini with black & sheer accents with my 'bis un bout' perspex Louboutins.

YERE COLLECTION material has stretch so it fits all silhouettes & accentuates a woman's curves. It is a brand of slip-on-and-go, fail safe party dresses reliable for any occasion.

YERE COLLECTION is based in Los Angeles, California & ships worldwide. Use discount code "JYOTI" to get 10% off.

BLAZER: BALMAIN | OUTFIT: NIKE | SHOES: CHRISTIAN LOUBOUTIN | BRACELET: HERMES | SUNGLASSES: DOLCE & GABBANA

Fashion and sports may be two of our favourite pastimes but it's rare that the two find common ground to stand on. Other than superbowl parties!

On these hot summer days, I barely ever want to wear clothes. And when I do have to, I live in my Nike Pro workout gear. I think I've bought almost every color made this past season and I barely ever use it for it's original purpose.
:(

Nonetheless, I found a way to wear it; with a luxurious printed blazer and super high heels for a sporty chic look. I added a sterling silver Hermes CDC bracelet, to contrast the bright gold buttons on the blazer. I'm loving this look and the synergy between high fashion and sports.
