DRESS: PRIMARK | BOOTIES: CHRISTIAN LOUBOUTIN | CLUTCH: LOUIS VUITTON

I decided to break in these Christian Louboutin 100mm GipsyBooties one night while going for dinner at Jacob's Steakhouse in Toronto. Don't even know how I managed to find this cute & super duper inexpensive dress in my overfilled & hoarded archives with the exact same baroque print as the booties.

I found this dress at Primark in London on a layover after I had run out of clothes to wear after a two week trip. It probably cost 15 pounds maximum. Talk about a steal! Love Primark for socks, loungewear & random pieces like this.

When mixing designers, don't overdo it. I already had two bold designer pieces in this look so a simple dress tied it all together. You don't want to go outside looking like you threw every designer item you own on yourself at the same damn time. This look was the perfect match of high & low. And mixing HIGH & LOW is definitely MY thing.

Mix it up. Don't go BAROQUE trying to look rich!

XERXES, KING OF PERSIA

All hail Xerxes!

Xerxes, the King of Persia was dripping in gold & opulence. The luxury & fierceness of his look in the movie '300' had me drawn to this character transformation.

To my jewellery drawers, I went, on the hunt for every gold necklace, bracelet & ring I own to create a unique costume. I even used toe rings as a nose ring and ear cuff.  The accessories include tons of pieces from River Island and Primark in the UK.

The inspiration for my makeup look was an extreme bronzed palette; bold gold eyeshadow, dark smouldering eyeliner & a shimmery nude lip. I felt like a Persian villain goddess.

The toughest part was hiding my eyebrows with tons of concealer and recreating King Xerxes' non-existent brows.

The products I used for this makeup look are:

Happy Halloween!

TOM FORD RUNWAY INSPIRATION

COAT: VINTAGE | HAT: PRIMARK | TANK: PRIMARK | SHOES: LUST FOR LIFE | BAG: TOM FORD

Remember Tom Ford's SS14 No. 61 sequinned jersey dress? And remember Tom Ford's FW14 thigh high lace boots? Well, I found two pieces recently that, when paired together, reminded me only of this one designer. This outfit was definitely inspired head-to-peep toe by Tom Ford. I paired these Lust For Life "fly" boots from Remix Clothing Co. with a sequin tank that I found at Primark a few weeks ago for a few pounds. And to finish the look, added my Tom Ford "Charlotte" medium leather tote. The zippers on this bag are gold and very bold.

Topped off with my mom's vintage camel coat, this look is perfect for dinner or a night out if you want something different than a dress and some pumps.

The original Tom Ford lace up boots & sequinned jersey dress cost a whole lot more than my inspired look.

REAL: TOM FORD Lacey Over-The-Knee Boots $3,600
STEAL: LUST FOR LIFE "Fly" Thigh High Lace Boots $250

REAL: TOM FORD Sequin Jersey Dress $6,500
STEAL: PRIMARK UK "84" Sequin Tank $20

What do you think of my inspired look?

P.S. The TF inspired boots are still available & can be purchased HERE. And the Tom Ford "Charlotte" medium tote can be purchased HERE

CASE OF LACE

TOP: PRIMARK | PANTS: ZARA | NECKLACE: RIVER ISLAND | SUNGLASSES: RAYBAN | SHOES: SAINT LAURENT | BAG: CHANEL

I found this amazing lace top with leather collars at Primark in London a few weeks ago. And by the time I had carried it to the register, I had already imagined wearing it with a pair of black leather jogging pants. The contrast of soft, feminine lace & hard, dark leather truly excites me.

I paired the two with simple leather Saint Laurent pumps & a leather Chanel boy bag as well. The silver zippers are accented in my metal necklace & the outfit is complete with my black & white tuxedo blazer.

In any other city on this side of the hemisphere, leather is hard to wear in August but with the bipolar weather we've been having in Toronto this summer, this outfit it perfect!

WORLD CUP WORTHY

JERSEY: PRIMARK | SKIRT: PRIMARK | SUNGLASSES: ATLANTIS BAHAMAS | BRACELET: HERMES | SHOES: SAINT LAURENT | BAG: CHANEL

Nothing brings family together like rooting for the same team!

My sister, brother & I ventured out to Brazil for FIFA World Cup. The city is filled with cheering fans, lively crowds & the glare of thousands of televisions has brightened up the entire city.

I decided to dress up my Brazil jersey with a knee length, cobalt blue skirt for the Brazil vs Colombia match. I also accessorized with the Hermes sterling silver CDC, a Chanel le boy bag & simple black Saint Laurent pumps.

Every restaurant, bar & pub is filled with crowds of soccer fans and the intensity in the city has everyone on the edge of their seat, step & ledge!

Can't wait to see how the finals unfold.

Experience Brazil through my lens for the 2014 FIFA World Cup.

THE DELICATE ROSE

DRESS: PRIMARK | JACKET: ZARA | RING: RIVER ISLAND | SHOES: LOUBOUTIN | BAG: CHANEL

Women, like the beautiful rose, are masked by their intoxicating scent.

Facing the light & dark, they manage to bloom.

The scars from past hurts hidden at the bottom of the stem.

The sharp thorn a defence to barricade the soft & gentle petals.

Once pricked, you will be careful how you handle the delicate rose.

Be patient with the rose, thorn by thorn, it will reveal it's true beauty.

Like the rose, I decided to do a mix of hard & soft. Opposite ends of the spectrum seem to work together. The floral A-line dress, like the soft petals with a stiff dark leather, like the hard thorns, creates a fashion juxtaposition. Counteract that feminine silhouette with sleek & edgy accents.
