DRESS: BABES AND FELINES | BLAZER: ZARA | BAG: SAINT LAURENT | SHOES: VALENTINO | SUNGLASSES: RAY-BAN

Women and flowers go hand in hand. Vogue's trend forecasting for the season showcases garden variety looks as a blossoming trend.

I always keep a few floral pieces as safekeeping in my wardrobe for this recurring trend. The blazer is an explosion of color, creating a feminine twist on a tailored classic. I chose to pair it with a simple nude Babes And Felines dress and nude Valentino rockstud sandals to keep the petal power strong. The androgynous cut of the blazer with a curve hugging dress was the perfect combination. The added punch to this look is the neon orange Saint Laurent 'sac de jour'.

FALL FLASHBACK

DRESS: TADASHI SHOJI | COAT: CALVIN KLEIN | SHOES: GUCCI | BAG: CHANEL | SUNGLASSES: RAYBAN

SHOP THE LOOK AT REMIX CLOTHING CO.

Waking up to the snow & bare branches this morning in Toronto made me miss the fall; when the trees are blooming with colourful leaves and with each footstep on the bright golden ground, you hear the crisp fallen leaves beneath you. And of course my personal favourite, the fall fashion!

I love long coats that brush your ankles as you walk. It is cool enough to wear a fuzzy wool coat & warm enough to get away with sandals. These golden tones in my ensemble truly accent mother nature's warm forest fall tones.

I love the brassy-gold sequins covering this Tadashi Shoji dress and I immediately just pictured wearing it in a monochromatic look. The Gucci sandal added the perfect touch; subtle suede with a bronze python strap for oomph.

This look can work for winter too. Just swap the suede strappy sandals for some thigh high boots, add a dark pair of shades & close that coat up a button or two. Or don't if you aren't afraid of frostbite! :)

THE FOUR C's OF BIRTHDAYS : CHAMPAGNE, CAKE, CANDLES & CANDIDS

OUTFIT: GHOST LABEL | SUNGLASSES: RAY BAN |  RINGS: RIVER ISLAND | SHOES: PRADA | BAG: CHANEL

Birthdays, like diamonds, are treasured. It's the one day of the year when you expect to be the centre of attention. As long as your have the essential 4 C's, you will feel that birthday excitement.

CHAMPAGNE
Ever since the 17th century when royalty claimed champagne as the drink of choice to celebrate, it has been associated with glam & sparkle. Make sure to treat yourself to that one glass of bubbly.

CAKE
The sweeter the cake, the sweeter the day! That special feeling you get when you see a cake with your name in colourful icing is a classic birthday tradition that leaves a sweet taste in your mouth.

CANDLES
What is cake without the candle? Birthday candles lead you to close your eyes & make that wish. As you do, you realize what is truly important to you. Gives your clarity & a path for future goals.

CANDIDS
Spending hours on that special outfit, getting your makeup, hair & nails done all makes it worth while for that picture perfect look. Be ready to capture every moment, ready for every candid snap.

And the most important "C" of all is change. Change is constant on birthdays. Don't tend to focus on the ones who forgot, appreciate the ones who remembered. If you're lucky enough to have those few who are special in your life & always will be, you are blessed.

Thank you for the birthday wishes!

My birthday goal was to launch my blog that has been LONG OVERDUE.
With my new cut, colour & clarity, I feel like a thousand carats!
